Don’t Walk Away From the Mirror - James 1:23-24 

There’s a certain kind of honesty that only shows up when you’re standing in front of a mirror. Not the mirror you check before you leave the house. I’m talking about the mirror that tells the truth. The mirror that doesn’t care about your title, your age, your résumé, or your excuses. The mirror that shows you you.

James says that hearing God’s Word without doing anything about it is like looking in that mirror, seeing something wrong, and then walking away like you didn’t see a thing.
